The Local Agricultural Partnership is one of SML’s key community empowerment initiatives, designed to improve farmer livelihoods and promote sustainable agricultural practices. Launched in 2022, the programme aligns with the UN SDG 2: Zero Hunger by strengthening food security through better production, distribution, and nutrition, while fostering collaboration among farmers, communities, government, and agricultural experts.

By 2024, the programme had utilised 166 hectares of SML’s land across seven villages in Rumpin District, Bogor Regency, supporting 317 farmers and cultivating a wide range of crops, including vegetables, tubers, spices, fruits, and organic fertilisers. Currently, 112 farmers are active members of farmer groups, receiving mentoring and capacity-building support.
The initiative has demonstrated strong impact, with an SROI of 8.68 and a Community Satisfaction Index of 3.66 out of 4, reflecting high levels of social and economic value creation.
