Jakarta, April 27, 2021 — Sinar Mas Land always tries to help with the government’s Covid-19 vaccination program. This time, Sinar Mas Land through ITC Group provided facilities and infrastructure for the vaccine centers at the ITC Mangga Dua as the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to stop the virus spread. The centers were made for the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (UMKM) owners in Jakarta to help recover the economy quickly.

Division Head of ITC Group – Sinar Mas Land Christine Tanjungan said, “ITC Group and Sinar Mas Land really support the vaccination program, targeting the UMKM owners due to their contribution to the public economy. The ITC, a shopping center with most of the vendors are UMKM owners, would like to actively help with the government’s program. We hope the vaccination for the ITC Group’s vendors, employees, and outsourcing workers, especially those in DKI Jakarta, will make the UMKM owners stay healthy and safe, so they can keep contributing to the country’s economy. That way, people should feel comfortable to go shopping at the UMKM owners’ kiosks.”

Head of Medical Referral Service and Health Crisis of DKI Jakarta Public Health Office dr. Sulung Mulia Putra appreciated the ITC Group’s initiative regarding the vaccine centers for the UMKM owners, saying, “On behalf of the DKI Jakarta Public Health Office, we would like to thank ITC Group for the vaccination targeting the most UMKM owners in the capital, as many as 15,000 people. The government’s vax program acknowledges everyone’s rights to get vaccines. The medical professionals, civil servants, senior citizens, and teachers are prioritized for the vaccination. Now, we start administering the vaccines for the public service workers such as UMKM owners and mall tenants. The first vaccination has gone well and we hope we can continue working with ITC Group for the UMKM owners’ second dose vaccination in the future.”

The vaccination was held for nine days from April 22 to 24, and then continued on April 26 to May 1 at the ITC Mangga Dua, North Jakarta, targeting 15,000 participants. Head of Pademangan District Public Health Center dr. Octoviana Carolina praised the ITC Mangga Dua’s vaccine centers. “We appreciate ITC Group for initiating vaccination centers at the ITC Mangga Dua. It has gone well thanks to the good coordination with the related stakeholders, including the Public Health Office and staff. It has run smoothly thanks to the proper and perfect facilities for the UMKM owners. The government thus would like to thank Sinar Mas Land for organizing the vaccination well. This UMKM owners’ vaccine acceleration hopefully can improve our economy which is heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic,” she said.

On the fifth day of the vaccination, the ITC Mangga Dua’s vax centers continued to receive positive reviews from the UMKM owners participating in the program, who were excited and strictly following the health protocols. This Sinar Mas Land’s social empathy shown by ITC Group also gained positive response from the DKI Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprise (PPKUKM) Office.

Head of Small and Medium Enterprise (UKM) of DKI Jakarta PPKUKM Office Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo expressed her support for the ITC Mangga Dua’s vax centers. “PPKUKM Office would like to say thank you for the cooperation with ITC Group, especially for the collaboration in the UMKM owners’ vaccination in DKI Jakarta. It went well and was done according to the health protocols. ITC Group managed to organize the program for the tenants and UKM owners, so the participants did not feel lost, especially thanks to the vaccination schedule sent via WhatsApp blast which was very helpful for them. We hope the vaccination will help revive the DKI Jakarta’s economy,” says Ratu.

The vaccine centers involved multiple parties namely Sinar Mas Land through ITC Group, DKI Jakarta Public Health Office, DKI Jakarta PPKUKM Office, Pademangan District Public Health Center, YPK Mandiri Hospital, Fastru Covid Test Service, and Indonesian Shopping Center Management Association (APPBI).

So far, Sinar Mas Land has never stopped providing vaccine centers for sellers, tourism staff, and public service officers. In early April, the South Tangerang and Tangerang Regency Public Health Offices launched vaccine centers for thousands of sellers, tourism staff, and public service officers. It was held at two shopping centers developed by Sinar Mas Land; BSD Junction and Q-Big BSD City.
