Despite the current condition, Living World Grand Wisata remains optimistic with the development. Based on the data from the Association of Indonesian Shopping Mall Operators (APPBI), albeit being slow, the visitors rate however gradually increases as the condition gets better. We are still optimistic that by the time the mall will begin operating in 2024, the situation and condition should already be fine and normal.

According to Sugiyanto Wibawa, “We are optimistic about the government’s support for the national economy recovery, also the vaccination acceleration program has so far reached 40% for the first dose, and so will help the malls’ businesses to recover soon. We therefore perform various strategies, one of which is by determining the location for the Living World Grand Wisata, that strategically stands in a residential area.”

Herry Hendarta added, “We hope Living World Grand Wisata will be able to contribute to revive the economic growth of Bekasi and the surrounding areas. Its strategic location as a business meeting point and the mall’s complete facilities will trigger the retail business values to thrive and provide employment opportunities. It will also accelerate Grand Wisata to become a Sinar Mas Land’s perfect township project.”

Posing as a Home Living, Lifestyle and Eat-ertainment Mall, Living World Grand Wisata will have over 328 shops with a differentiated anchor tenants’ power and a Flagship Home Living, Home Improvement and Lifestyle concept such as Ace, Informa, and more. In addition, the unique nature-themed architectural style blending in with the newest concepts of the tenants’ restaurants/cafes and entertainment, all in line with the mall’s eco-friendly concept, will be a new trendsetter for shopping centers. Boasting a gross floor area of over 155.000 square meters with a commercial area of more than 58.000 square meters, Living World Grand Wisata will be the biggest and most comprehensive Home Living and Eat-ertainment mall in the eastern suburb areas of Jakarta and Bekasi.

Meanwhile, Living World Grand Wisata supports the Indonesian government’s target of cutting greenhouse gas emissions as much as 29% from the 2030 baseline by applying a sustainable development concept. With an energy-efficient architecture, this mall applies a highly efficient AC system so it should be able to save power up to 25%, uses power-saving LED lights that can save energy up to 60%, and also relies on the sunlight as a natural source of lighting by creating skylights made of double-glazing glass windows.

Such glasses curb the sun’s heat inside the mall so they help save power when operating the AC. When it is fully operational, Living World Grand Wisata will apply a conservation water concept with a zero-waste water system by recycling the dirty water waste, which, in a year, could refill an olympic-sized swimming pool 50 times over. The recycled water will be used for AC and to water the plants in the Living World Grand Wisata’s green park area which covers 2.000 square meters. Grand Wisata Bekasi is a suitable location for Living World as it is strategic and close to housing, commercial, and industrial areas, also easily accessible from the toll roads from/to the Eastern Corridors or to downtown Jakarta and its surrounding areas. As the most complete, independent city in Bekasi, Grand Wisata is on its way to becoming The Next New City to the east of Jakarta, just like BSD City which is developed by Sinar Mas Land to the west of Jakarta.
