BSD City, October 3, 2021 ー Sinar Mas Land keeps supporting the government in accelerating the Covid-19 vaccination program. The company thus rejoined the South Tangerang Public Health Office and South Tangerang Police to launch the first-dose vaccination centers for the micro, small, and medium enterprises’ (UMKM) owners and the community at the BSD City’s Modern Market. It was held from September 23 to October 1, 2021, at the market’s Eastern Gate, targeting 900 people to get shot.
The vaccination centers are part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) health program. Sinar Mas Land has contributed to provide the location and infrastructure, while the South Tangerang Public Health Office has deployed its medical professionals. “Now that they have gotten their shots, the UMKM owners, who stand at the frontline for economic growth, will be safely protected. And so, they hopefully can continue working for the sake of the nation’s economy. Also, we hope the visitors can feel safe and comfortable shopping at the BSD City’s Modern Market,” says Managing Director President Office of Sinar Mas Land, Dhony Rahajoe.
Since March 2021, Sinar Mas Land has cooperated with several governmental institutions to provide vaccination centers in numerous areas such as Jakarta, Depok, Cikarang, Karawang, South Tangerang, Tangerang Regency, and Batam. Until mid September, Sinar Mas Land’s vaccination centers have injected Covid-19 shots to around 69.000 people.
The company keeps showing its support for vax accelerations in order to reach the Indonesian Health Ministry’s target of vaccinating 70% citizens by the end of 2021. Vaccination and strict health protocol implementations should hopefully protect the community even more against the pandemic.
Sinar Mas Land has never ceased to support the government in dealing with Covid-19. Prior to the vaccination centers, the company has given various aids since April 2020. Those include food for those affected by the pandemic, ready-to-eat meals, masks, hand sanitizers, disinfectants, medicines, vitamins, Covid-19 detection tools, medical supplies, face shields, as well as hazmat suits for the medics and security officers.
